Nagengast back in the league's daily routine

The bavarian football association (BFV) team beat serbia’s vojvodina to win the UEFA regions’ cup intermediate round and secure a ticket to next year’s european amateur championships. Coach engin yanova’s eleven won the third and final game of group 5 2-0 against the serbians, who up to that point had not lost a game, and thus also won the direct comparison in the constellation with the teams from israel and serbia, who had the same points.

The goals in front of 469 spectators in rain am lech were scored by marco luburic (8.) and david bauer (50.) – both play for the local TSV rain team in the sud bavarian league. Philipp nagengast from jahn forchheim was substituted for luburic after one hour. Two vojvodina players sent off in injury time. By succeeding in the intermediate round tournament, the BFV selection has also drawn the ticket to participate in the final tournament of the best eight teams from europe 2019. The venue has not yet been determined.

"I am incredibly proud of the team. You have done a great job. We have always believed in you. Next year’s final round will once again be a real high point", said BFV president rainer koch, who had followed the match in live stream on the BFV facebook page in qatar, in his video message directly after the final whistle.

The regions cup marks the end of the two-week break between the two bavarian leagues. Nagengast and the jahn face a home match against abtswind on saturday at 3 p.M. Jahn forchheim (15.) – TSV abtswind (10.)

The hosts went into the break with a defeat against aubstadt but had ended their negative run of six consecutive defeats a week earlier with a 6:1 win over ATSV erlangen. The guests also came out of their four defeat valley with one draw and one win.

The jahn and the promoted team last met two years ago in the northwest state league, when the forchheim team won both duels and returned to the bavarian league via relegation at the end of the season. For abtswind, which still kicked in the schweinfurt district league in 2004, it is the first adventure in the fifth-highest division. On the sidelines of the TSV is mario schindler, who also knows the jahn from his time as schwebenrieder coach in the northwest state league
